As a healthcare practitioner with more than 28 years of experience, Coach Joel is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve peak health and performance — no matter where they’re starting from. He brings his extensive expertise and a deep understanding of human physiology to Pathways to Peak.

Joel holds degrees in Health Science and Healthcare Administration and boasts an impressive list of certifications (from personal training and metabolic flexibility to heart rate variability and biological performance and conditioning).

What truly sets Joel apart is his dedication to personalized guidance. He’s worked with everyone from professional athletes to busy professionals, helping them unlock their full potential and build sustainable, healthy habits for life.

Our Story: Born From a Desire to Empower

Pathways to Peak was founded by Joel and Tiffany Yakowitz, both healthcare professionals who saw a need for change. They realized the traditional healthcare system often focuses on fixing problems, not preventing them. That’s why they opened DexaFit Seattle in 2016—to empower people to take control of their health proactively.

Pathways to Peak is the evolution of that mission, bringing their personalized approach, and Joel’s expertise, to a wider audience.
